Switch from CH-LOGIN to AGOV-Login
with the same email address

1. Enter the URL of the Federal application of your choice or alternatively www.myaccount.eiam.admin.ch (eIAM MyAccount) in your browser and press Enter. The login selection shown below appears.

2. Log in with your AGOV-Login or register a new AGOV-Login. The AGOV-Login should use the same email address as your CH-LOGIN.

   If that is not the case, please follow this guide: Switch from CH-LOGIN to AGOV-Login with a different email address.

3. After successful login, eIAM will detect that you have a CH-LOGIN with the same email address. Click “Continue” to start transferring your permissions to the AGOV-Login.

4. The email address is automatically transferred and cannot be changed. Enter the password of your CH-LOGIN and click “Continue”.

   If you have forgotten your password, click the corresponding link. Please follow the additional steps in the collapsible section “Forgot password?”.

   Click “Continue” to receive a verification code sent to your email address.

   Enter the verification code you received and click “Continue”. Please note that you do not need to change your password and will be forwarded directly to the next step.

5. Two-factor authentication is now required. In the example below, this is done using a confirmation code (mTan) sent via SMS.

   Alternatively, you may use your security questions. Click the link “Continue with security questions” and refer to the collapsible section.

   Enter the answers to your security questions and click “Continue”. If you no longer know your security questions, follow the instructions available via the link “Contact support”.
   

   

   To verify, enter your answers to the security questions you have set up.

   
   
6. You have now successfully switched from CH-LOGIN to AGOV-Login. Click “Go to application” to proceed. You will be automatically redirected after 10 seconds.
   

   

   The switch from CH-LOGIN to AGOV login was successful.

   Please note: From now on, only use your AGOV-Login. CH-LOGIN is no longer available.
