Instructions: Delete existing link with external (BYOI) identity

If you registered your BYOI before 07.09.2025, it is linked to a CH-LOGIN. This link remains active after this date, provided that authentication factors (password and second factor) have been set up for your CH-LOGIN.

The link can be removed according to the instructions below.

Please note:

  • As part of the migration from CH-LOGIN to AGOV, this link will automatically be removed and all permissions transferred to AGOV.
  • Logging in again with a BYOI account after the link has been removed or after the migration to AGOV will result in an independent identity being created for this BYOI within the eIAM ecosystem. This identity can then be used independently.

Instructions

  1. Log in with your CH-LOGIN at eIAM MyAccount, go to “Login & Security”, open the tile
    linked 3rd Party IdP and click Remove.


  2. Please read the displayed information notice carefully.
    Enter your password and confirm by clicking Remove.


  3. A green popup message confirms the successful deletion of the external BYOI.
